Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Notes From Gloria

What is a CASE? Well in short, it's Copy And Share Everything, so yes, I don't get all my own ideas every month. Sometimes I take a bit of this or that from what I've seen on other blogs or Pinterest. All stampers CASE. Most of us aren't artists or design experts, that's not what we were trained to do. I was trained as an Oncology Registered Nurse; that is as far away from art or design as can be. But, we all have a little creativity in us and it sometimes needs a spark from others. That is why Stampin' UP! loves that we CASE. They encourage us to look at others work and be inspired. Of course, if you copy in its' entirety or use a specific idea, you should give that demonstrator the credit, that is just being fair and nice. I try to make sure that I do that, but, sometimes I fall short, as we all do from time to time.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all the stampers that came to the September Stamp Camp! It was a BLAST for me and I hope it was for you, too. I want to let you know that I will be taking October off because my dear Randy is RETIRING! Can you believe it? Well instead of parties and cake, we are taking a vacation out East and will be gone for two to three weeks. So, the next events I have will be in November. Yikes, I can't believe how fast the year has gone by!

What Is A Workshop?

I love having workshops! Workshops can be done anywhere, but are normally done in your home. I have done them in libraries, coffee shops, churches, and even in my home. Workshops are wonderful because YOU will be the Hostess and get all the Hostess Benefits. You provide a simple snack and drink to share with your friends, and I provide the fun! Once you achieve $150.00 in sales you'll get 10% of your sales in credit for Stampin' UP! product. That means you get $15.00 or more, to spend on exclusive discounted stamps or anything current in the catalog. I want to make the party fun, and a time of relaxation for you and your guests, so, I meet with you over the phone or at your house a couple of weeks before your party. We will plan it together and I'll provide the stamping fun.

New Tool

Hi Friends,

I'm still in Seattle, (I'll be home Thursday) but wanted to share a new tool that I received before I left. The new tool is called the Take Your Pick Tool by Stampin' UP! I tried it out and it works like a charm to pick up itty bitty pieces, such as, sequins, sprinkles, gems, buttons and other small items with the tacky putty tip. The tool also has a paper piercer attachment, small and large stylus, and a mini spatula. It's in the Holiday Catalog on page 30, #144107. Cost is $10.00 which I think is quite a deal. The nice thing about it is you'll never run out of putty because Stampin' UP! offers replacement putty tips.

I know I struggle with getting small pieces on my cards because of the arthritis in my hands. This tool works for me and I hope it works for you, too. You can order it through my website:

Well, I hope you have a wonderful day! It's sunny and 70 degrees in Seattle, and I'm enjoying my time with my eldest son, Mark, today, at his apartment downtown. Now, to break for lunch!

PS. If you need a holiday catalog, please let me know and I'll send you one.
